Zigante, one of the leading Croatian truffle brands, each year organizes traditional fair in Livade called Zigante truffle days, an event which stretches to 10 weeks in a row and offers all kinds of activities and pleasures such as demonstrational forest truffle hunting, culinary workshops and tastings of various truffle-based specialties and delicacies, but also an international exhibition of traditional Istrian products such as prosciutto, cheese, sausages, honey, olive oil and homemade liqueurs.
Spend a perfect day in the forest, enjoy breaths of fresh air and sights of untouched nature and take a shot at finding this unique mushroom during guided truffle hunt with specially trained dogs and truffle experts. Get a taste of fresh black and white truffles found right on the spot, in the beautiful Motovun forest, one of the largest natural habitats of truffles in the world. The purpose of this event is to present to the wider public all the exceptional flavors and aromas of Istrian truffles and their value in the modern, as well as traditional cuisine.
